Talk Villa Ladies aims to provide supporters with everything they need to know about the women’s team.

Although coverage of Aston Villa Ladies is existent, it isn’t a constant source of information for those wanting more.

Home games are particularly well covered with match reports and follow up quotes often provided by the clubs official site but for those who can’t attend away games, they also can’t access any match information. Unless it is a high profile game, the club usually don’t send any journalist to cover the game – which is where Talk Villa Ladies will be looking to take advantage.

My aim is to try and provide a constant supply of content including match previews and reports alongside interviews, opinion pieces and any news.

From a personal point of view, I have been following and reporting on Aston Villa Ladies for the last two years.

Starting out with My Old Man Said, we created Lioness Lowdown –  a column rounding up the latest matches and any interesting news regarding the ladies. It featured exclusive interviews with then head coach Joe Hunt, captain Katy Moran and Maddy Cusack.

I then ventured into the regional press, reaching out to the Birmingham Mail. They had little, if any, coverage of the women’s team and so I began writing match reports and player ratings during the Spring Series for the newspaper.

Now my project is to make Talk Villa Ladies your chosen place for all things Villa Ladies.
